Length Converters
Convert between inches, centimeters, feet, meters, miles, kilometers, and more.
Length measures distance — how far apart two points are. The metric system uses the meter as its base unit, with millimeters, centimeters, and kilometers for smaller or larger distances. The imperial and US customary systems use inches, feet, yards, and miles. Converting between the two systems always uses a fixed factor: for example, one inch is exactly 2.54 centimeters, and one foot is exactly 0.3048 meters. These factors never change, so length conversions are exact rather than approximate.
