Volume Converters
Convert between gallons, liters, cups, tablespoons, and fluid ounces.
Volume measures how much space a substance fills. The liter is the common metric unit; gallons, quarts, pints, cups, and fluid ounces are the US customary units. A US gallon holds about 3.785 liters — but an imperial gallon is larger, about 4.546 liters. In cooking, cups, tablespoons, and teaspoons are everyday volume measures. Be careful to separate fluid ounces (a volume) from weight ounces, which measure mass.
